Gaby Roslin’s new role as Ambassador for the Warm Welcome Campaign was announced in Warm Welcome Week, a campaign to raise awareness of community spaces so more people can find a place of belonging and connection close to home. Warm Welcome Week starts on Blue Monday, which can be the coldest, loneliest, and most challenging time of the year. As well as taking its toll on mental health, January can be financially difficult, and many households face the stark choice between heating and eating. It’s the time of year when Warm Welcome Spaces are in greatest demand.
Gaby Roslin has supported the Warm Welcome Campaign for over a year, helping raise awareness of Warm Welcome Spaces, hosting events, and supporting the campaign’s ambition to build a more deeply connected society where we all have free access to welcoming community spaces.
Over the last year, Gaby Roslin has visited a number of Warm Welcome Spaces, including Jacksons Lane in Highgate, London. There, Gaby Roslin joined Warm Welcome guests for a special lunch and a cabaret sing-along. Gaby rolled up her sleeves, helping to serve lunch, chatting with guests, and experiencing the magic that Warm Welcome Spaces make to people’s lives every day.

Gaby Roslin, Ambassador for the Warm Welcome Campaign said:
“It’s an honour to become an Ambassador for Warm Welcome, and I will do everything I can to shine a light on Warm Welcome Spaces and the dedicated volunteers who run them. I’ve been lucky enough to spend time in Warm Welcome Spaces and have seen the remarkable difference they make to people’s lives every day, reducing isolation and enhancing wellbeing. They are places full of positivity, where people can come together, connect, and make new friends. It’s been wonderful to be at Swansea MAD with my friend Arabella Weir this Warm Welcome Week. It’s a wonderful place full of joy and friendship, and a brilliant way to chase away the blues this January.”
