Rebuild With Hope: Warm Space

Our warm space is a welcoming haven where everyone in the community can come to relax, enjoy a hot drink, and connect with others. It’s more than just a place to stay warm; it’s a safe, friendly environment where people can share stories, build relationships, and find comfort in a sense of belonging. We understand the importance of creating spaces that bring people together, especially during challenging times, and our warm space is here to provide support, kindness, and a little brightness to anyone who needs it. Alongside a warm welcome, visitors can take part in our popular Knit and Natter group, enjoy a friendly game of bingo, or spend time in our Camerados Public Living Room, a space designed to encourage conversation and companionship. Located next door to the Book Cycle, the warm space also provides the perfect opportunity to browse for a book and enjoy some quiet time with a hot drink. We have also partnered with Girls Club, who host regular coffee mornings, helping to create a varied programme of activities that appeals to a wide range of people. Our warm space has welcomed 1,142 people, becoming a valued local resource for those looking for company, support, or simply a comfortable place to spend time. Visitors benefit from opportunities to socialise, try new activities, and access informal peer support in a relaxed setting. Whether attending a coffee morning, joining a group activity, or enjoying a moment of peace with a book, people are able to take time for their wellbeing while feeling part of the wider community. This growing response demonstrates the ongoing need for inclusive spaces where everyone feels welcome and supported.
