We started our Public Living Room at Settle Quakers in Autumn 2022 and these run twice a week all year round. More info on Camerados who started the Public Living Rooms can be found here https://camerados.org/public-living-room/ Everyone is welcome. Hot and cold drinks, soup and hot meals always available. We have a selection of games, a local paper and always have a jigsaw on the go. In warmer weather we often take people down to our allotment to help out there or go on short walks. We sometimes do art and craft activities like making soap or beeswax wraps. Hub staff are always available if someone needs a bit of extra help eg with bills, making appointments, benefits or other issues. We have good links with other local organisations, especially Age UK and The Place, so can take people to them for help and advice if need be.
