Soham Community Wellbeing Space at Savoy Court

Soham Community Wellbeing Space is based at Savoy Court Community Centre in North Harrow. It is operated by Soham Community CIC, a not-for-profit organisation using accessible movement, mindfulness and healthy-living activity to improve wellbeing and social connection. Our Warm Welcome offer is free to enter and provides a heated, friendly and non-judgmental place where residents can sit, share tea or coffee, meet others and take part at their own pace. Activities include gentle chair-based movement, simple breathing and relaxation, mindfulness, healthy-living conversations and informal signposting to local support. The venue has a kitchen, seating, toilets including an accessible toilet, and space for both group activity and quieter participation. We welcome the general public, with particular attention to older adults, people with limited mobility or long-term health conditions, people experiencing stress or loneliness, carers, families, children and SEND families. No previous yoga or fitness experience is needed. Activities can be adapted using chairs, walls and props, and participation is always by choice. Although Soham Community CIC is at an early stage, the delivery team has several years of experience running yoga, meditation, chair yoga, children's wellbeing, community events and free or donation-supported sessions in Harrow. We are now bringing this experience together into a clearer year-round community wellbeing space. Volunteers help with welcoming, registration, refreshments, set-up and participant support. We use safeguarding, risk assessment, consent and referral procedures, and aim to build stronger links with local voluntary organisations, community venues and health and social-prescribing partners.
