TogetherWORKS Caldicot

TogetherWORKS is a community-driven hub and not-for-profit Community Interest Charity (CIC), established in partnership with South East Wales Energy and opened in September 2021. We exist to strengthen our community by providing a welcoming, inclusive and accessible space shaped directly by local need. Our activities and groups are designed to reduce isolation and loneliness, improve wellbeing, and create opportunities for people to come together, share skills, exchange knowledge, and build confidence. A key part of our work is supporting people to relieve poverty and reduce financial pressures, including practical energy advice and support. We help individuals and households to better understand and manage their energy use and access the support they are entitled to. We also recognise and respond to food poverty within our communities, signposting and connecting people to food support through our Corner Cupboard, as well as providing access to essential personal hygiene items and pet food for those in need. Everything we offer is free or pay what you can, ensuring that cost is never a barrier and that all services remain accessible to everyone in the community. In addition, we host regular drop-in sessions with partner organisations, ensuring that residents can easily access advice, services, and support in a relaxed and trusted community setting. Every week, TogetherWORKS opens its doors to hundreds of local people seeking friendship, support, learning opportunities and a sense of belonging. From Welsh conversation sessions and Spanish classes to knitting groups, book clubs, yoga, breastfeeding support, men's breakfasts, disability support groups and LGBTQ+ peer support, our hub brings together people who may otherwise remain isolated within their own communities.
