Veolia Sutton Warm Welcome Space

Community Space

Veolia's Warm Welcome Space launches on 19 January, in Sutton, where Veolia delivers essential recycling and waste collections and street cleansing services. The Warm Welcome Space is completely free and open to anyone in Sutton needing a safe, warm place or community connection. Visitors will find hot meals, career cafés, and access to Shelter’s support. With games and activities for all ages, the spaces also help to combat isolation, as well as ensuring access to essential resources and advice. The site will offer unique activities to deliver on Veolia’s responsibility as an environmental champion, so visitors can expect to take away practical and sustainable skills to support them beyond the winter sessions. In Sutton, this includes free blood checks, a reuse pop up shop and crafting workshops. Sutton’s Warm Welcome Space will be held on Mondays at Beddington Village Hall, 1-5 Beddington Lane, CR0 4TA. There is no prior registration required; visitors can simply turn up on the day and be welcomed in. The local Sutton space will be held on afternoons after typical school hours between 3pm and 5pm to provide relief for residents of all ages with complimentary nutritious meals, a warm refuge during the coldest hours, and an inclusive after-school hub where the community can gather, connect, and exchange support.
