On Tuesdays between 10 and 12 we open our doors to provide a welcome space for people of all ages and abilities to share time with friends old and new. As well as hot drinks, toast and biscuits we offer bingo on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month along with a monthly exercise class designed to help with mobility and balance and monthly talks on a range of subjects to improve health and well-being for those of us in our later years! Some of our visitors like to bring along their knitting, others just like to chat. We also have a selection of board games available for those of a more competitive nature and during school holidays we welcome visits from some of our youngest members when they spend the day with their grandparents! A team of volunteers help on a rota basis, setting up & clearing away, serving hot drinks and making toast, and of course washing-up! They also join in the chat, the bingo and the exercise. And to end the year members and volunteers sit down together to enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner with all the trimmings! Whether as a visitor or a volunteer and no matter what age or ability, you can be sure of a warm welcome whatever the weather!
